This month we took our coffee dates to the mountains! The cold weather and snow is making a late appearance this year so we are able to adventure places usually covered in much more snow by November.
We had our first coffee date at the Stevens Lakes trailhead just outside of Mullan, Idaho. Surrounded by golden alpine larches, Tyler and I enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate heated on our Coleman stove:
A couple weeks later we hiked up to the Quartz Mountain Lookout in the snow! For this date, we heated water for coffee and hot chocolate with our MSR pocket rocket backpacking stove at the little campsite at the Quartz Mountain Lookout. After coffee, we went up to the lookout for snowy views of Mount Spokane and the surrounding area! Beautiful sunny day for a snow hike and coffee date! I’m looking forward to more snow on this mountain and snowshoeing in the near future!
