2016 at a glance

Last year we slept in the back of our ’91 jeep on Friday night to hike early the next day more times than I can count.  I spent 62 days outside hiking.  We hiked from sunrise to sunset on some trails that took us to unforgettable new places.  Here’s a few photo memories!

January & February 2016:  Artist Point snowshoeing, Edmonds sunset, Treehouse Point, Bowman Bay, Mount Si, and Skyline Ridge ❄️


March 2016:  Ancient Lakes backpacking, Stevens Pass skiing, Skyline Lake

April 2016: Snowshoeing at MRNP with PNW Outdoor Women, Lake 22 with mountainside apple crisp on Natalie’s birthday, & Tunnel Falls overnight with Parker & Wang

May 2016:  Whatcom Falls, Columbia Gorge waterfalls, Marmot Pass, Mount Dickerman, Royal Basin, & Parker starts the PCT in southern California


June 2016:  Overnight at Mount Pilchuck, Heybrook Lookout, Icicle Ridge, road trip to Winthrop over Highway 20, Skyline Divide, & Snoqualmie Mountain

November 2016:  Skyline Lake for sunrise, Mount Si with Holly, Mountain Loop Highway adventures with Kailey, & sunrise at Glacier Peak High school

December 2016:  Mount Rainier skyline loop with blueberry pancakes, Franklin Falls, Wallace Falls, Mount Si, Oyster Dome, & Talapus Lake with PNW Outdoor Women!


Next week we start the Mountaineers basic climbing class!  I’m thrilled and terrified.  We’ll be learning a lot and going out into some potentially extreme situations.  I’m thankful Tyler and I will be in the class together.  Here’s to another year of adventure!!
