I’m excited to share with you some of our adventures this summer and write about what God has done in our lives. There has been a lot of change since I last blogged in April!!
In August, my husband and I moved to the west side of the state to live closer to family and start the next chapter of our lives. Before I share stories about our western Washington adventure, here are a few memories from our summer in Spokane!
Riverside State Park: Deep Creek Loop (WTA hiking guide here)
Roller blading from home to downtown:
Afternoons with this spoiled adventure kitty in the backyard:
Groundbreaking for the new music building at Whitworth University:
And yummy backyard s’mores with our church home group:
One of my favorite places to watch the sunset is Mineral Ridge in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (about an hour outside of Spokane). This short hike is quite busy on the weekends, but go on a weekday and watch the sky light up with color!
Morning breakfast at Riverside state park!
Hiking up to the top of Mount Spokane before the road to the summit opened:
A day trip to Colchuck Lake with Sam!
I volunteered with REI Spokane to widen a mile of the trail at Riverside state park. It was amazing to see how much work can get done when people work together!
One of my favorite summer activities in Spokane is watching the fireworks downtown and going to the Royal Fireworks Concert!
